Welcome to Macclesfield Cats Protection Branch

Rehoming or Adopting a Cat

We are currently in the very unfortunate position of having no volunteer fosterers, so we are unable to accept any cats or kittens into the care of this branch of Cats Protection at the present time 🙁

However, space may be available at other branches or Adoption Centres, so please contact www.cats.org.uk / tel 03000 12 12 12 and someone will do their best to help you.

The Cats Protection Winter Appeal

Cats and people share a unique bond and bring joy to each other. This winter we’re asking you to donate to our winter appeal to help us continue to help cats in your local area and work to make families complete. Every little helps, so please donate whatever you can here. Thank you!

We are committed to reducing the number of stray and unwanted cats and to promoting microchipping as a preferred means of permanent identification.

If you are looking for financial assistance with neutering and microchipping your cat and meet any of the following criteria you can get your cat neutered and microchipped at one of our participating vets for £10:

- receipt of any of the following means-tested benefits: universal credit, income support, housing benefit, council tax benefit, pension credit, income-based ESA, income-based JSA, working tax credits and child tax credits;
- have a household annual income of less than £25,000 before tax; or
- are a full-time student living away from home.

Please contact a participating vet directly to book an appointment and it is important that you let them know you can use the Cats Protection £10 neutering scheme (because you meet one or more of the above criteria). Details of your nearest participating vet can be found at Find a vet (cats.org.uk)

You are welcome to contact us for further information or advice by telephoning us on 01625 801802 or by emailing us at enquiries@macclesfield.cats.org.uk.

We also have our Lost and Found page. Please take a look and keep an eye out for any of the cats that have sadly been reported missing along with those who have been found and need to get back home.

We regularly update site content so please visit us again soon!
