Why Microchip your Cat or Kitten?

06 December 2015

Statistics show that nearly 1000 pets go missing every day in the UK.  Don't let you pet be one of them.
The microchip has a unique 15 digit number and the database is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Using a microchip scanner, the number can be obtained by a vet or animal charity, who can then establish who the pet belongs to you very quickly, by looking up the details on the national database. Your pet can then be reunited with you in the quickest possible time.  It is important to remember that should you move house you MUST let the microchipping company know your new contact details, otherwise the point of having your pet microchip will be lost.
You will have total peace of mind that your pet has the best possible chance of being returned to you should they go missing.
The microchip is slightly larger than a grain of rice and is implanted in the scruff of your pet's neck in a very quick and simple process.

For further information on our free microchipping and neutering campaign, please contact the Branch on 01625 801 802 (leaving a message in Box 2 for neutering/chipping) or by email to MacclesfieldCP@gmail.com or via our website at www.catsorg.uk/macclesfield or by leaving a message on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/macclesfieldcatsprotection
